About Us

Global climate change is a growing global issue, and we can either sit back and watch what happens, or get in there and try to make a difference.  We chose to do it by planting trees.  Oh, and honoring our daughter who we love so very much...because this really got started with her future in mind.

Regardless of your views on global warming, we can all agree that planting trees is good for the environment. Also, getting outside and hiking to see your named registered tree, is not only fun and relaxing, it is also good for your body and spirit. (We know that planting trees in not the total answer to our global warming problems, but if it means that it will help a little, then to us, that's all that matters.  Click here to see how beneficial trees are to our planet.)Global warming is a global issue, and we can either sit back and watch what happens, or get in there and try to make a difference.  We chose to do it by planting trees.  Oh, and honoring our daughter who we love so very much...because this really got started with her future in mind.

How Global Tree Registry Began!

Global Tree Registry was started in honor of my 7 year old daughter named Brookelle.  We were on a drive to the mountains (which we do quite often) and that particular day happened to be on Earth Day.  We started talking about global warming and what the Earth will look like when Brookelle gets older.  As we were hiking and looking up at the trees, we got on the subject of how trees have been known to offset global warming.  We had an idea that day that if everyone registered a tree as a gift and we were able to track it's coordinates, then we could turn around and donate five new trees to get planted in national forests!  This idea turned into a way for us to somehow make a change and give back to Mother Earth for what we have taken.
